START TIMES (from 100 Washington St)

There will NOT be a mass start this year.

We’re changing things up this year. Instead, each distance will have its own start, with a short break between groups to keep things organized and give everyone a little more room to roll out safely. Rope barriers will separate each distance at the start line. Just look for the flag showing your ride distance, head to that staging area, and line up behind the rope. When it's your turn, we'll send you down the trail. No need to crowd the start line or wonder where you belong. Find your distance flag, find your group, and get ready to ride!

6:45 am - Sugar Rush Staging

7:00 am - Sugar Rush Ride Briefing

7:15 am -  100 mile SUGAR RUSH start

7:30 am - 100 and 62 mile start
Riders must reach the Skedaddle Point at Orchard and Forrest (60.7 miles) by 12 pm (noon) to continue onto the Century route. After 12, all riders will turn left on Forrest and continue to the finish line.

7:45 am - 43 and 26 mile start

8 am - 6-mile Family Ride start
Be sure to turn LEFT after the bridge.

ON THE COURSE: AID STATIONS AND SAG SUPPORT

Rest Stops/Aid Stations

The Waco Wild West has a tradition of providing great rest stops.

No calorie deficits allowed on this ride!!! Stations sit roughly every 10 – 12 miles on the 26-, 43-,  62- and 100-mile courses. The Family Ride has one station you can visit every loop.

At each stop, volunteers are serving:

  • Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
  • Fruit – Bananas and Oranges
  • Pickles and Pickle Juice
  • Potato Chips
  • Cookies
  • Gatorade and water
  • Candy (Of Course!!!)
  • Portojons
  • Basic needs: first aid, sunscreen, bug spray, spray deodorant (yes, to be considerate to your fellow riders), even tampons. Just ask the volunteers for these items.

Several organizations are working hard to serve you. Please be sure and thank all our volunteers!

After the ride, vote for your favorite stop in our “Best Rest Stop” contest — the survey goes out post-ride.

SAG Support

Come prepared to fix your own flat (carry a spare tube or repair kit). If you need help beyond that, SAG support can reach you on course — we’re covering over 200 miles of roadway, so it may take a little time.

SAG Support: 888-280-9997

This number is printed on your rider bib number, so you’ll always have it handy. Call it for mechanical help, a lift back to the candy, or any other on-course assistance. Every SAG vehicle displays a SAG number — the radio operator will route the nearest one to you.

SAFETY

  • Helmets are REQUIRED any time you are on your bike. We love you and we love your sweet heads!
  • Ride Bib Numbers –You will love them this year! Bright and colorful, total souvenirs! You are required to wear yours while riding the course. This helps our traffic control, our aid stations, and our SAG drivers recognize you as a participant of our event.
  • Roads are open to traffic. Law enforcement is stationed at major intersections, but you’re required to follow all traffic rules as you would on any ride. We strongly encourage front and back flashing lights.
  • No headphones – For your safety and the safety of others around you.

Read our full Rider Safety guide for more.

HYDRATION

Staying hydrated is the biggest challenge on a long, hot ride. Know your limits, ride the distance you’ve trained for, and carry plenty of water — even if you’re planning to stop at every rest station.
